Dynamics of helicopter vibration and consideration of basic factors which contribute to vibration as separable elements, namely, rotor aerodynamic loading, blade and rotor dynamics and fuselage dynamics; primary element of rotor aerodynamic loading is steady rotor lift generated by bound circulation on rotor blades; examination of com ponents of downwash and general nature of trailing wake system generated by steady rotor lift; unsteady aerodynamic effects; lifting line approximations to unsteady aerodynamic effects and lifting surface theory; examples of downwash and load computations; effect of nonrigid wake; future developments.
