British hydrofoil craft consists of hull carried above water by main hydrofoil situated aft of center of gravity and 2 bow foils located on both sides of bow; main hydrofoil carries about 90% of craft's total weight and is always partly submerged, whereas bow foil supports remaining 10% and it is only rear-most part of foils that touches water surface; series of hydrofoils incorporating these features are described.
