It is suggested that solution to problem of recommending rear axle lubricant to car owner requires availability of good quality products, together with identification of these products; rear axle lubricant of MIL-L-2105B quality level is needed for General Motors cars; some General Motors divisions will advise car owners to use MIL-L-2105B lubricants in 1963 cars; such lubricants should be made available at retail outlets, and they should be clearly identified.
