In British speed record attempts made at Herne Bay in 1945 and at Little-hampton in 1946, two motion picture cameras at each end of course formed main timing system, and two aircraft "still" cameras were used; synchronization, timing and interpretation of motion pictures; still camera method; vertical camera method; radar and radio methods.
