By mathematically expressing airplane polar about axis of symmetry that coincides with minimum drag coefficient, taken from wind tunnel or flight data, airplane performance may be determined analytically with negligible error; method of performance presented furnishes convenient manner to determine rate of climb, level flight speed, and time to climb.
