Illustrated description of combination kite and helicopter for use in submarine air observation; FA-330, called "Sandpiper" by Germans, has been studied and tested at Wright Field, Ohio, by Technical Intelligence of Air Material Command; it consists of pilot's seat, pylon, conventional autogiro head rotor, tube extending aft supporting horizontal surface and rudder operated by pilot's feet.
