Denny and Bros, Dumbarton, for Larne-Stranraer service of LMS Railway Co, for transport of motor cars, passengers and livestock or cargo; length bp 305 ft 6 in.; beam 48 ft; depth to promenade deck 28 ft 6 in.; propelled by twin screws driven by two sets of Denny 2-stroke Sulzer engines, of trunk-piston type, each set having 7 cyl, 480 mm in diam by 700 mm stroke.
