Fleet of 23 AOG-type (Auxiliary Oil and Gasoline vessel) twin screw tankers built by Tacoma Shipbuilding Co, and Cargill, Inc, for gasoline and lube oil transportation in Pacific; length oa 310 ft 9 in.; breadth 48 ft 3 in.; propelled by General Motors Cleveland Diesel engines; most of them have four 16-cyl units of 6400 aggregate bhp; each of four main Diesels drives 775-kw General Electric generator at 675 rpm; units furnish direct current for two pairs of propulsion motors.
