System built in Jamnagar State in Kathiawar, comprises single line of rail which serves as guiding medium to vehicles running on concrete path extending 2 ft on either side; vehicles are fitted with pneumatic tires; 8-wheeled locomotive with Ford "V8" engine is capable of "romping away" up gradient of 1 in 100; features are elimination of expensive rolling stock and of tie maintenance.
