Purpose of investigation was development of stilling basin for dam to provide good energy dissipation at low and intermediate spillway flows, and safe conditions at maximum flow of 70,000 cfs, and also to provide satisfactory basin performance for sluice discharges; illustrated description of 1:40-scale model and tests; data on final project.
