Electrical and pneumatic controls make Milwaukee's deionizing plant, installed in basement room of recently built Diesel shop at Bensenville, Ill, able to function continuously over weekends and holidays without attention; when water purity falls below preset standard, plant regenerates its ion exchange resins to restore their efficiency; water is used in cooling systems of Diesel locomotives.
