Simplified method of approximating stability characteristics of vessel at large angles of inclination; method developed at Charleston Navy Yard involves substituting known values of maximum range of stability, characteristics of form, principal dimensions, etc, in various assumed empirical relationships and solving these relationships for constant proportionality factor.
