Problem of heating passenger trains hauled by Diesel electric locomotives solved by utilization of Vapor-Clarkson steam generator, which can provide 200 lb head of steam in 2 min. starting from 50 F water; unit is 73 in. long, 50 in. wide and 79 1/2 in. high; 4 types available rated at 1600, 2500, 3000, and 4000 lb of steam per hr.
