When Mack Mfg Corp announced opening of free course on Diesel engines in Albany, Boston and New York, more than 5000 men signed up; aim of course was to correct erroneous impressions and show that with relatively small amount of training, competent gasoline engine mechanic can become equally competent Diesel mechanic; it is divided into ten 2-hr sessions over 10-week period.
