New method enabled Hawaiian Electric Co to do job in 4 hr that would have required three weeks by ground crews; helicopter laid 2000 ft of regular 1/4-in. steel pulling-in cable on its first trial; helicopter took end of reeled cable and flew along tops of 60-ft steel towers, letting cable fall at base of towers; it took only 3 min.
