Articulated locomotive devised in 1855 by M. Arnoux of France; axles on each side of wheel were borne by axleboxes mounted in horn blocks on inner and outer members of double framing; total weight in working order 40 tons; position of cylinders anticipated that which became normal for 4-cyl locomotives many years later.
