Vessel of 600 tons gross register was built by Charles Hill and Sons,Ltd, for Isles of Scilly Steamship Co; length oa 156 ft 3 in., breadth molded 29 ft, depth molded 13 ft, draft 9 ft; provision is made for transporting 300 passengers, and single cargo hold has bale capacity of 8900 cu ft; two unidirectional 6-cyl Ruston and Hornsby engines are each rated 573 bhp at 750 rpm; plan.
