Curves of forced frequency against amplitude presented for conditions where forced frequency is both increased and decreased into resonant range; it is shown that practical resonance frequency is where wrinkling first occurs and resonance frequency will be subjected to considerable travel once permanent wrinkles appear in vibrating shell.
