Continuation of work started in 1928 by Bureau of Standards, covering additional tests on joints reinforced by inserted gusset plates; tests of joints made with low carbon and chromium molybdenum steel welding rods; recently developed " carburizing flux" welds; new tests made on T joints in which leg of T was loaded as cantilever beam.
