Paper discusses position of airship as means of transportation, briefly reviewing history of supposed but really non-existing competition between airship and airplane; results of Hindenburg's 10 North Atlantic demonstration trips, of 1936 are reported, and meteorological observations made are discussed; figures of cost of operation and revenues are revealed, showing relatively low cost of operation of modern passenger airship.
