Account of demonstration outside House of Commons May 27th; purpose was to show that it is possible to run ordinary motor vehicle on solid fuel, such as charcoal, anthracite, coke, peat charcoal, or pitch coke; of two units demonstrated, one was model G.F.176 32-seater bus equipped with A E C modified Regal gasoline engine; other was Gilford (H S G) 3-tonner commercial vehicle driven by 6-cyl engine developing 60 bhp at 2400 rpm on gas.
