Experimental work performed to discover cause of cable creepage in ducts; various theories discussed; no complete explanation of phenomenon is evolved, but author demonstrates that amount of creepage depends mainly on magnitude of traveling depression in road surface caused by vehicular traffic, and that vibration has only secondary effect.
