Four oil tankers being built on Frear-Bethlehem system of structural design, at Sparrows Point Plant of Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corp, at Baltimore, for Standard Oil Co, NJ; length oa 463 ft 1 in.; breadth molded 6 ft; depth molded 34 ft 10 in.; to be propelled by single screw, cross compound turbines driving 4-bladed wheel through Falk double reduction gears; steam supplied by two Foster-Wheeler water tube oil burning boilers.
