General shops and service building being constructed as part of rehabilitation program, designed to: provide for repair and overhauling of approximately 300 street cars and trackless trolleys; servicing, overhaul and storage of 100 to 120 motor coaches; and necessary space for track, stores, purchasing and transportation operating departments; glass in walls and skylights provide maximum daylight; basic construction is of concrete and steel.
