Gatun built by Panama Canal; length oa 125 ft 7 in.; beam molded 28 ft; mean draft 13 ft 3 in.; propelling machinery consists of two Diesel engines each driving electric generator of 350-kw capacity, supplying current to single propelling motor of 750 hp; generator Diesels are Ingersoll-Rand, 7-cyl units, with cylinders 13 1/4 in. by 22 in., developing 600 hp at 300 rpm.
