Rutile and zircon are mined at Big Swan Bay in Port Stephens area of New South Wales; concentrates are transported to treatment plant at Hexham and finished products will be shipped through port of Newcastle; initial annual output from Hexham plant is expected to be about 27,500 tons of rutile and similar amount of zircon; Port Stephens mining plant consists of two sections -- floating dredge and floating concentrating plant.
