Review of possibilities of obtaining increased power by injection of oxygen; results of investigations; details of British and German installations; successful application of injection of oxygen carrier into induction system of reciprocating engine as means of increasing aircraft speed has so far been limited to use of nitrous oxide; use of such system is essentially emergency method and most suitable for operating at high altitudes.
