Expressions derived (from standpoint of ride comfort for axle location and spring stiffnesses and damping coefficients of front and rear; undercarriage, designed for ride comfort only, is unsatisfactory in landings unless (1) lengths of spring and damper strokes differ; (2) damper possesses selective orifices; (3) center of gravity of ground vehicle is appreciably further forward than that of flight article.
