Locomotive, designed and constructed at Ipswich, Queensland, for service on Etheridge 3-ft 6-in. gage line in North Queensland; weight in working order 17 1/2 tons; wheel arrangement consists of 2-wheel leading pony truck and three pairs of 3-ft diam coupled wheels; power unit is standard 153-bhp, 6-cyl Gardner rail traction type "6L3" Diesel engine, with 5 1/2-in. bore by 7 1/4-in. stroke and fitted with 24-v CAV-Bosch electric starting motor and V-belt dynamo.
