Brief report on Soviet experiments; with high frequency traction for railless street cars; theory of plan developed by G. BABAT, involves use of central station supplying power by underground supply line to vehicles without direct contact conductors; in first experiments, receiving loop was fitted on roof of vehicle and high frequency current picked up was transformed by rectifier and supplied to d-c traction motor.
