Advantages of radio communication in railroad yards and terminals has resulted in its adoption without much urging; however, its employment along main lines for promotion of public safety and convenience needs encouragement; radio en-route communications are urged as supplement not as replacement for manual or automatic block systems; ICC role in development of radio use.
