Report summarizes practical requirements for siting radio direction finders and is intended primarily for use of personnel responsible for site selection and DF antenna installation on Naval ships; effects of reradiation from ship's superstructure on direction finder performance are described; merits of various siting compromises are discussed on basis of specific examples of shipboard installations.
