Automatic loading installation for loading coal ovoids into railroad cars is discussed; cars are supplied in sets of eight, and maximum load of each car may reach 40 tons; briquets are taken to outlet of hopper by belt conveyors which work at same speed; twin set of conveyors is carrying out reciprocating movement of amplitude governed by length of car; this is detected by photoelectric cells scanning ends of car; loading takes place in alternate layers.
