Analysis of gross aspects of flight mechanics for lunar trajectories from orbital launch is presented; attempt is made to define launch requirements from earth orbit, geometrical relationships existing between Orbital Launch Facility (OLF) in earth orbit and moon in its orbit, departure trajectory sensitivity to energy and time requirements, launch-on-time problem and orbital "launch window".
