Gloster Meteor RA.490 used as test aircraft; all aerodynamic tests made on model giving nominal deflection angle of 70°; performance measurements on flight deflectors; qualitative handling tests; lift, drag and thrust measurements; flight experiment showed that stability and control of Meteor were adequate for test flying at speeds down to 70% of normal stalling speed.
