Experimental and analytical tests of drawbar-pull vs track slippage were conducted on 4 vehicles capable of over-snow operation to establish design criteria for 1/2-ton cargo carrier; results indicate that vehicle form is most important in over-snow operation and that articulated form of vehicle and other pertinent design features offers most promising direction for overall vehicle mobility.
