Transit navigation satellite can be used by aircraft to obtain their position, speed, and heading; difficulty arises because accuracies of simpler schemes for processing Transit data are sensitive to accuracy of on-board navigational equipment; study is described which evaluates sensitivity of system to errors in velocity and heading, effectiveness of flight patterns in reducing sensitivity, and convergence speed of iterative method proposed by K.C.Kochi.
