Results of study at Swedish State Shipbuilding Experimental Tank on mathematical ship lines; method is, as yet, not entirely applicable for full scale use; primarily, programming work, choice of computer and to some extent also numerical methods, have been planned with intention of defining arbitrary ship form mathematically; procedure for delineating ships mathematically is indicated and applied to hull of tanker; correcting procedures are proposed for use if first result is not satisfactory.
