Fisherman's Asdic has been successfully used by British survey vessels for wreck location in port approaches; main units are bridge console containing recorder and training control units, hull unit consisting of watertight gland through which passes training shaft carrying transducer at outboard end, electric motors for training and retraction, and rotary converter; advantages over existing equipment in surveying ships given.
