Paper describes orrery which can be used to demonstrate trajectory of space vehicle relative to celestial body, that is to say point can be made to move along path of conic section with reference to another stationary point (pole); instrument may be used to scribe curves on sheet of ground glass or, as orrery, when electric lights are fitted to moving point and to stationary one, images of which may be projected upon ceiling; principle involved is illustrated by geometrical construction.
