New underground railway training center at Wood Lane, in London, is built around 3 sides of rectangular plot and provides large amount of apparatus for instruction, including imitation tube tunnel complete with tracks, station platform, and various ancillary equipment found in real station; other rooms contain electropneumatic and Westinghouse brake mechanisms as fitted to underground trains, electrical control apparatus and working mechanism for automatic coupling of underground cars, cut away section of tube car and guard's panel and telephone equipment.
