Turbine tanker Emma Maersk of 60,750 tons dw, delivered by Kockums Mekaniska Verkstads to A.P.Moller, is fitted with automatic system developed jointly by Kockums and ASEA which enables bridge engine telegraph to effect any maneuver without intervention of engine room personnel; ship length oa 775 ft, molded breadth 109 ft, molded depth 53 ft 3 in., draft 40 ft, cargo capacity 2,635,530 cu ft; set of Kockum-Stal-Laval steam turbines is designed to develop 20,000 shp at 106 rpm; control system is shown in schematic diagram.
