Method of deriving and estimating peak-hour travel on each highway facility within urban area is presented; method requires that daily work and total travel be separately estimated and assigned to highway network; intensity of peak-hour travel expressed as percentage of daily traffic on facility is shown to vary directly with volume of daily work travel on facility.
