Problems connected with forecasts of traffic conditions in future are dealt with; question is discussed whether or not predictions are possible in view of technological changes which may be expected in transportation field; value and accuracy of these predictions is discussed and it is shown that forecasts should be based on specific future conditions rather than on future years.
