Method of guiding aircraft in azimuth developed by Blind Landing Experimental Unit of Royal Aircraft Establishment, Bedford; magnetic fields produced by cables laid along ground enable aircraft to be steered automatically to within 7 1/2 ft of center line of runway; simpler equipment can be employed for guiding industrial vehicles along desired routes.
