Results of simple performance calculations are given for turbojet and ramjet engines; influence of Mach number, compressor pressure ratio and turbine (combustion) temperature; characteristics of supersonic intakes with external and internal compression, matching of intake and engine, definitions of thrust and drag, additive drag and use of convergent-divergent tailpipes are discussed.
