Study, carried out by Lockheed Aircraft Corp, and comparison made between teetering, offset hinge, and rigid rotor, led to helicopter concept incorporating rigid rotor for control power and simplicity in combination with control gyroscope to provide stability; details of full-scale vehicle and flight-test data; stress and vibration data; future programs.
