Forty-bhp 4-cyl, 1 1/2 liter diesel engine produced by British Motor Corp is offered, as alternative to gasoline engine, in Austin and Morris 10 to 12-cwt and 16 to 18-cwt light commercial vehicles; basic design features common to gasoline and diesel versions, and important differences between them are pointed out; bore and stroke are respectively 73.03-mm and 88.9-mm, giving swept volume of 1.489-cc and stroke; bore ratio of just under 1.22:1: major components and schematics.
