Double-sided box type dock for operation by United Ships Repair Yards, Szczecin, was built by Furness Shipbldg Co; length oa 450 ft 1 1/2 in.; breadth oa 93 ft 6 in., clear breadth inside 70 ft 6 1/2 in., center depth of pontoon 10 ft 8 in., water depth of keel blocks 20 ft 6 in.; net time of lifting vessel is 90 min and capacity of dock is sufficient to take vessel displacing 5500 metric tons (5420 long tons) when freeboard at midline of pontoon is 1 ft 3 in.
