Further research and development work, carried out at Kyoto Machinery Works, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd, resulted in new 4-in-line-cylinder engine Model KE41 of two liter swept volume producing maximum output of 70 bhp; 6-cyl version Model KE61 is of three liter capacity, has same bore and stroke as two liter Model KE41, and produces 95 bhp at 4200 rpm; description of designing points and research results obtained during development of engines; comparison of diesel engine with same bore and stroke gasoline engine on bases of their performances and structures.
